Long time no see!

WOW!
I haven't posted in ages!
I really need to get my act together! ah well what better way to start then talk about the CW's hit tv series America's next top model!
Now this is cycle ten and after the disappointment of last season I really think Tyra Banks (the producer and main judge) has kicked it up a notch. This cycle started in New York (a real fashion capital) and in the last episode they went to Rome Italy.
The picture has this cycles contestants on it, so far 8 have been axed and one quit.
SO who do you think has what it takes to be on top?

Anonymous submitted Diagram

Recently we received a home-made diagram from a user who asks to remain anonymous.
This user will be named Jane Doe for the remaining of this article.
Jane urgently requested we added the diagram she made for us to our page.
She was quite certain the diagram would be useful for female attracted users.

Instead of placing the picture smack in the middle of this post, I will insert it near the end.
This way users who'd rather not view it, can either not scroll down or scroll down real fast over the diagram.

Thanks,
Stijn

Bored?

First of all, when you're bored, you should be here.

Certainly this isn't the most active blog or website you've ever visited, but it does have some weird interesting posts you could read when you're bored. A while back, I wasn't busy with anything, so I decided to create a post for UC Kids. However when I bumped into the Blogger home page, I saw Blogger Play!

Blogger Play is a slideshow of all pictures that get uploaded by blogger users. You can choose to show or hide the information provided about the blog author and the picture, and you can choose how fast pictures go by.
Have fun!

Thanks,
Stijn

St. Patrick's Day (Run For Cover!)

St. Patrick's Day falls this year on Saturday, March 15.

This, in many homes, is one of the more mundane and simple holidays of the year, unless you're Irish, in which case you party and drink till your eyes fall out of your skull. Stijn has the details.

I am not Irish, but I always await the greenest of all springtime holidays with trepidation. My mother has a longtime tradition of using green food coloring to dye as much of our food green as she can. Green milk, green scrambled eggs, green pancakes, green mashed potatoes, you name it. She also coats many of our lights with green cellophane so that even the air seems green. THE MADNESS!!! Beware, beware!

Happy St. Patrick's Day,

Jack

St. Patrick's Day

If I'm right, tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, and we should all be wearing green. Well, not necessarily. You should be wearing green, if you'd rather not get pinched by someone who actively participates in the celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Then there's the other activity, that mostly people in/from the U.K. and Ireland tend to celebrate, since people in Holland barely celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and kids in the U.S. may not consummate alcoholic beverages. In other words: on March 15th we'll have another opportunity to drink till we dream.
I myself am not such a fan of drinking that much, and I'm pretty much only into the sweet mixes and juices.

Final point: Pinch people if they're not wearing green, have a fun day or night out and don't drink too much so you're unable to go to work on Sunday.

Thanks, Stijn

Lost at Work

Hi readers,

Actually I didn't get lost at work, it was just a way of attracting attention to this post, and to shortly describe the contents of this post.

So first, about Lost. The new episodes have already begun in the U.S. of course, however almost everyone else is left in the dark. Then there's sidereel and p2p/bittorrent.
Now I'm sure non of our readers would ever download something that's copyright protected, so I'm guessing everyone here uses sidereel. Sidereel is a website that provides links to uploaded TV and movie content on the web. Since this isn't illegal, (providing links to uploads isn't illegal, compared to uploading the content itself.) it's a great way to watch shows or movies you missed in during your busy work hours.

Then work. Most of use in the society are required to work, because if we don't we'll have other business people complaining that we're brining the national employment numbers down. That's one thing we'd rather not have. Another reason why we're bound to go to work, is because we have to bring in the cash somehow, and our parents aren't going to be forking it over for ever. So we better start now than later.

Hope that's enough for today!

Thanks,
Stijn

Church

Yes it's true.

All the naughty boys and girls out that, that refuse to listen to God, pray to the lord and don't do their daily should go to church!

If I can't convince anyone with my powerful speech, I will have to demonstrate them a small little video!

We've got mail, uhh, I mean puppy

Hey everyone or no one,
It's been ages since I've posted on here, but it has also been ages that I have had time to do anything for school or anything else besides being tired and sick.
However, now that we have our very own puppy in our home, I can be less tired and more joyful. Which I could really use.

I finally removed the Martha/Oprah poll and posted up the 4 pictures we have of our new puppy. I hope you enjoy the slideshow and this post.

Thanks,
Stijn

GAAHHH

Where is everyone, I wonder aloud to myself?

Post, people, post!

[I'd say that in Dutch if I knew how for all you Netherlanders, but I don't have a clue. Here it is in Korean:]

모두는 어디에 나 자신에게, 나 경이 큰소리로
이는가?

지점, 사람, 지점!

Well, well, well...

...It's 2008. I feel ashamed of myself, as I have made it a very loooong time without posting anything. So here I am. Look at me! I posted something. Sorry. I'm very tired. Anyways, seeing as how it's a new year, I thought I might remind all of us of some of the hilights of last year, 2007. Here are, in my opinion, the top 5 best things that happened in the news in '07:

1) George Clooney and Fabio brawled at an L.A. restaurant because Mr. Clooney thought some of Fabio's lady-friends were paparazzis when they were taking pictures of themselves with the king of romance novel covers.

2) "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" came to the big screen. 'Nuff said.

3) The ACCLAIMED TV Plus-Size pagent "Mo'Nique's F.A.T. Chance" had another season.

4) Apple Computer released the iPhone and then dropped the price $100.

5) Mr. Much (creepy sub. from Soundview) was sighted with braided hair at Edmonds-Woodway High School. Uh oh...

---

Well, that's 2007 in a nutshell. I hope this brought back fond memories for all of you, but I sort of doubt it did.

Best to all of you, and Happy '08,

Jack

27 Days Later

Yes it´s true.
It´s been 27 days since our last post, and yet no one notices. Well yes, I did, but a little too late. I´m sure we´ve lost many read, mostly thanks to FLD, but it´s all a matter of interpretation.

On to the cold hard facts!
Our group has been saving money to buy a plane ticket to the USA, trying to persuade immigration officers we will return very very soon.

Martha has won by as much as 9% in our monthly poll.

Windows Live Messenger 9.0 is not yet interoperable with GTalk, it is a discussed feature that might make it into WLM 10.

Christmas has passed, New Year is coming.

We´ll all be getting are interest on our savings account soon. It´s almost 2008.

Thanks,
Stijn

Betas

As some or none of you may know, Windows Live Messenger is currently out for beta testing. Officially it's not available to everyone, as it is a private beta. But according to my sources it's available at Softpedia. There are plenty of screenshots and reviews online so just have a search. This is one of my sources: Mess.be.

Another piece of software in beta testing is Norton 360. This is even more unaccessible to others as it is required to have an activation key. But I would just like to say, this Identity Safe this is great!

Well, it's time to go eat some breakfast now, as work starts in about half an hour.
Hope everyone enjoys/enjoyed their first day of December, keeping in mind, Christmas is around the corner!

Thanks,
Stijn

TRAP2

Wow, it's already TRAP 2. Time sure flies when you're overloaded with school projects and homework. Again, wow.

So to make sure people from V5&V6 know what to learn and when to learn it. I have inserted the TRAP schedule.

Hope it's useful.

Stijn

WLM Chat Window

I found this cool little gadget online letting you paste a chat window at any place that accepts HTML. This gadget lets people talk to you without requiring them to have a WLID or my email address.

I though it was pretty neat. Do you?

Thanks,
Stijn

VFM

VFM, VFM!

That's today's message because in about 23 hours the poll will close and the winner will be announced.

This time the winner obviously won't receive any prize, unless someone want's to send Martha a present.

So once again: Vote For Martha!

Thanks,

Stijn

PS: Left you a comment on your post Jack.

De Vliegeraar (Kite Runner) and other excellent books...

To Stijn and all,

I just finished "Kite Runner" (aka "De Vliegeraar") a few weeks ago, and loved it. It is an excellent book, although it is very dark and often painful to read. If you haven't read it, please do, as it's an amazing portrait of the state of modern Afghanistan as well as friendship, childhood, and guilt.

I also, before "Kite Runner", I had the good fortune to read "The Glass Castle", by Jeannette Walls. It's a memoir, but it doesn't read like one at all. That is another excellent, excellent book. It's about 300 pages, but it reads at lightning speed.

Also, for those of you who know her, I ran into Matt's mom Rabecca and her mother at Starbucks yesterday. Small world...

Well, I hope all is well in Holland, Florida, Mukelteo, or wherever you may be.

Kite Runner

Today I finally received my copy of "De Vliegeraar". This book has been translated from English or some other language. Either way, called "The Kite Runner" in English.

I would also like to thank Jack for his awesome kudos. I have to agree that it grows on you. You watch it and see one funny thing. And the next thing you know, you have nothing today on a Saturday afternoon and see "The Office" come by another time. It just hooks on you. Unlike hookers, but more like the pointy corners or doorknobs that rip your coat or shirt apart after you walk by and get caught.

A few days back I was also positively surprised by the fact that I was seen as manager by a customer at my work. I made my day (well at least for a few hours).

Now I should really be getting to my book, which I haven't started and need to finish the report by Wednesday. So I wish everyone a nice day and morning.

Thanks,
Stijn
